Advocates of Ozaukee operates a shelter for individuals seeking a temporary safe haven from situations of domestic and/or sexual violence. We greatly appreciate both your concern and your support for this cause. Below is a list of Advocates' needs and wishes. A donation of any of these items would be greatly appreciated. If you have anything you would like to donate that is not on this listing, please call us to see if it is something we can use.

CHILDREN'S CLOTHING: new underwear, new socks, shoes (dress, casual, and gym); new slippers; pajamas, in-season clothing in good condition - ALL SIZES. Clothing for children under the age of 12 with metal that has not been tested for lead cannot be accepted.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM: Tempra paints, construction paper, flip-chart paper, craft kits (needlepoint, latch hook kits, etc.) paint by number kits, backpacks, plain white T-shirts (all sizes), hand puppets, fabric paints, modeling clay, coloring books, ready-stretched art canvas, board games for children ages 10 and older, children's jewelry kits, model kits, small wooden crafts, stickers, pipe cleaners, tissue paper, crepe paper, stencils, small paint brushes, ribbon, card stock, cotton balls, children's CDs with relaxating or calming music, juice boxes & healthy snacks for support group.

CHILDREN'S SCHOOL SUPPLIES: basic calculators, large backpacks, spacemaker school boxes, large glue-all, Elmer’s glue, glue sticks, classic 8 ct. markers, thin markers, 4 pk dry erase markers, highlighters, 12 ct colored pencils, watercolor paints, red pens, 12" plastic rulers, standard and metric, post-its, scissors (youth and adult size, not kiddie sized), folders, notebooks, pencils, crayons, 1 and 2 gallon Hefty zip-slide bags, lined index cards, wide-ruled filler paper.

FIRST AID SUPPLIES: ALL NEW UNOPENED PACKAGES Neosporin, Cortizone cream, Bactine, ibuprofen, cough medicine (non-alcoholic), aspirin, infant/child medicines (oral ibuprofen, junior strength pain reliever, laxatives, chewable non-aspirin, sore throat pops, cold medicine, etc.), rubbing alcohol, digital thermometer & covers, Tylenol/acetaminophen (pain relief and cold), sore throat lozenges; plain pseudophedrine, mentholated rub, Aleve, Pepcid AC, Pepto Bismol, Immodium AD, Alka-Seltzer, Philips Milk of Magnesia, chewable antacid tablets, Excedrin Migraine, bandages, gauze, tape, any basic first aid supplies (unopened), disposable gloves

NON-PERISHABLE - vegetable and olive oil, spaghetti, alfredo & cheese sauce, salad dressing, Spaghettios and other canned pasta, fruit juice, jelly, mayonnaise and Miracle Whip, soups, canned vegetables & fruit, crackers, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, boxed potatoes, soda, snacks, spices, individual sized juice boxes, cake mixes & frosting, canned tuna & chicken, sugared and non-sugared cereals, packable snacks for lunches, microwave popcorn, bottled & jug water, gift certificates to local grocery stores.

PERISHABLE - bread, fruit & vegetables, cheese, butter and/or margarine, eggs, hamburger, pork chops, breakfast sausage, bacon, deli and/or lunch meats, brats, hot dogs, hamburger and/or hot dog buns, chicken breasts & wings, fish sticks, french fries, tater tots, pizza, chicken nuggets, ice cream.

HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS: garbage bags, dryer sheets, toilet bowl brushes, paper towels, hand soap & sanitizers, kleenex, laundry detergent (regular and for sensitive skin and unscented), fabric softener, regular and color safe bleach, laundry baskets, brooms, sponge mops with replacement heads, buckets, glass cleaner, tile cleanser, all purpose cleanser, Murphy's oil soap, RAID, heavy duty flashlights, battery lanterns, single fold brown paper towels for dispensers, heavy duty disposable plates, cups, & silverware, new twin & full size mattress pads, sheets & blankets, new pillows; bathroom towels all sizes, washcloths, shower curtain liners.

INFANT ITEMS: pull-ups (size 4), diapers (especially size 3 & up), baby wipes, sippy cups, bottles, bottle brushes, baby monitors, pacifiers, bibs, hygiene items (Desitin ointment, baby shampoo, lotion, powder, and soap), new toys.

KITCHEN ITEMS: small whiteboard for refigerator, plastic food storage containers with covers, new rubber utility gloves, new hot pads, new kitchen towels, new dishcloths, new sponges, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, Ziploc bags in assorted sizes, basic cooking and baking utensils (mixing spoons, spatulas, tongs, measuring cups, etc.).

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS: alarm clocks (new or used) DVD movies - G or PG - for adults and children (no VHS tapes), gas cards, passes for movies, roller or ice skating, bowling, etc., salt for driveway and sidewalk in winter, housepainting supplies, small wastebaskets, vacuums, heating pad, various sized plastic totes, clothes sizers, gift cards to local stores., Ozaukee County maps, floor & table lamps, mountable and/or wide space child or pet gates, holiday, or plain gift bags (new or gently used) and gift wrap, calendars, planners, journals & nice pens.

OFFICE EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES: white & colored copy paper (8 1/2 x11), Brother labeling tape cassette P-Touch TZ Black on white for model PT-1280, Scotch tape for dispensers; 9x12, 10x13, and size 10 envelopes, large presentation size Post-It-Note tablet, photo paper, ink and toner (Call 262-284-3577 for current needs), jump drives.

RESOURCE MATERIALS: Funds to purchase adult & children videos and/or books about domestic and sexual violence, children's books about anger management, divorce, or self-esteem, gift certificates to bookstores to purchase resources.

SELF-CARE PRODUCTS: - gift certificates for haircuts, toothbrushes, toothbrush holders, pads & tampons, nail clippers/manicure sets, shower poofs, lip balm, face cleanser, deodorant and/or antiperspirant, shaving cream, disposable razors, hair brushes and combs, curling irons, hair dryers, hair accessories, lotion, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, contact lens cleaning solutions. ALL MUST BE UNOPEN AND UNUSED.

WOMEN'S CLOTHING: new underwear (large), new bras (large), new socks, pajamas, shoes (dress, casual and gym), new slippers.
